The award supports outstanding MD-only individuals committed to a career as a physician-scientist and will continue his work investigating the relationship between inflammation and its role in platelet-driven blood clotting as he transitions to early-career faculty within the division.

Josef Prchal, MD, Professor in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Internal Medicine University of Utah presented “Erythrocytoses & polycythemia vera. Are we moving forward” at EPNEC on March 1st, 2024.

Two of our own, Thomas Girard and Molly Brakhane, have been selected to present at the 65th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition in December of 2023.
